Trump Hid In Truck To Evade Iranian Assassination Plot In Turkey
United States President Donald Trump secretly flew out of Turkey last month on a smaller plane than previously known due to an alleged assassination threat from Iran, The Washington Post reported on August 11.
According to a U.S. official who spoke to The Post, Trump boarded an Air Force One jet in Ankara on July 8, but then moved into a catering container attached to the plane. The container then ferried him to a smaller C-32A aircraft that flew him to Britain, while media and some officials were led to believe Trump was still on the bigger jet.
The Iranian threat had previously been reported by U.S. media as the reason that Trump did not fly out of Turkey aboard the new Boeing 747-8, gifted to the United States by Qatar, which he had used to fly into the country.

Le président américain Donald Trump a quitté secrètement la Turquie le mois dernier à bord d’un avion plus petit que ce qui était connu auparavant, en raison d’une menace présumée d’assassinat de la part de l’Iran, comme l’a rapporté le Washington Post le 11 août.
Selon un responsable américain qui s’est entretenu avec The Post, Trump a embarqué à bord d’un avion Air Force One à Ankara le 8 juillet, mais s’est ensuite installé dans un conteneur de restauration attaché à l’avion. Le conteneur l’a ensuite transporté vers un plus petit avion C-32A qui l’a envoyé en Grande-Bretagne, tandis que les médias et certains responsables ont été amenés à croire que Trump était toujours à bord du plus grand jet.
La menace iranienne avait déjà été rapportée par les médias américains comme la raison pour laquelle Trump n’a pas quitté la Turquie à bord du nouveau Boeing 747-8, offert aux États-Unis par le Qatar, qu’il avait utilisé pour entrer dans le pays.
